The plan was straightforward: a two-bedroom vacation house in a well-planned gated community in Yercaud.
Accessing the higher level was challenging because of to the site's steep slope, but the amazing vistas from there had to be captured. It was necessary to follow the community's bylaws regarding the building's dimensions, height, and materials.
The end result was a partially stilted house with a hidden elevator room and a broken set of steps made of stones taken from the location that blends in with the surroundings. In order to supply adequate water for a comfortable summer, rainwater from the sloped roofs was channelized using the roof form, then sent down sliding along the lift room's sloped wall, filtered, and collected.
